PIANO GROUP

SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCING

The club is about fun, fitness and friendship. Why don’t you drop in and try – free for the first two evenings – at St Peter’s Church Hall, Eastbourne Grove, Westcliff, at 7.30pm.       No need to bring a partner – all you need are soft shoes. It’s not sword/Highland dancing but jigs, reels etc.

JAZZ NIGHT AT PUB

Mucky Dennis Trio

From country and skiffle to folk, obscurities to self penned Mucky Dennis and the Grifters ply their brand of good time shuffle. Micky Denny’s variable band delivers a raucous mix, channeling the spirit of such luminaries as the The Pogues, Jonny Cash and Tom Waits.

The Southend Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs will be presenting a Celebration of Spring Concert on Sunday 29th March, 4pm at Kings Road UR Church, Westcliff on Sea.  The concert includes singers from the age of 6 to 26!  The choirs will be joined by the “Step Up Choir” of younger singers, the Southend Young Men’s Chorus and their ladies’ chamber choir, Chorus Sirenum.  The massed voices will be performing songs from stage and screen, folk songs, gospel numbers and much more.  Tickets are on sale now from 01702 465460 or online at brown paper tickets southendchoirs-spring.bpt.me Tickets cost £7 for adults and just £1 for children aged 16 and under.   Future concerts by the choirs will include performing in the Southwold Festival in Suffolk, and singing at St Martin in the Fields, London in the summer.
