The Southend Boys’ and Girls’ Choirs will be recruiting some new singers for the start of the September term. Opportunities for keen young singers include the chance to sing in London’s

Barbican Concert Hall, St Martin in the Fields, the Royal Albert Hall and London’s Claridges Hotel in the lead up to Christmas. Membership to the choirs is free and any keen young singer is invited to apply to become a member. The main choirs take accept aged 8/9 upwards, but also welcome applications from older singers. No experience is necessary, and membership of the choirs offers

great opportunities to sing in some amazing venues. Next month the choirs will be singing in Barcelona and Tarragona as part of a Spanish concert tour and recent performances have included the choirs singing with the boy band Collabro, and also singing in the Music is Magic at the Royal

Albert Hall.

Younger singers are also invited to apply for the two junior sections, “Little Singers” and “Step Up

Choir”. Please see information on the choirs website
